Mailbox Repair & Replacement

Villas homeowners are responsible for all mailbox maintenance and repairs as outlined below. This is taken directly from our Villas Handbook, which is also available within the documents library on this site.

Mailbox maintenance is the homeowner's responsibility. This includes the

painting of the mailbox; replacement of any broken parts (e.g. doors, knobs, flags, hinge screws etc.) The Wedgewood Association has a mailbox committee in place consisting of both single family and Villa owners. They are evaluating existing mailboxes and have decided on a new mailbox for those that need replacing. You will be notified if your mailbox is affected. The existing mailbox is fine if in good condition. However, if you want to upgrade to the new mailbox you will be able to order directly through Lance Parent at US Post Co., (lance@uspostmailbox.com) or contact Jody Anderson (815-353-1196) The new Mailbox is the Standard Classic Octagon Imperial Box #8 (Black) Some of these mailboxes have already been installed in Wedgewood. US Post Company handles installation and removal of existing mailbox. You will be billed direct by US Post Company before installation.
